On almost every online art site and forums, one can read complaints about how "non NSFW" artists whine as they struggle to be noticed because their awesome artwork sinks under the cheap NSFW imaginery ocean. So I've spent 2 months designing and coding a NSFW free gallery site
, where artist could create a free account
and start posting on an image quality moderated environment, interact with each other, like and fav images, etc.
I've sent over 100 invites
to artists here on DA and also Drawcrowd and Wysp. Advertised on my FB page and other social networks too... 3 months later all I got is 1 registered user which is not an artist, 1 reply to my invites politely saying "thanks but no thanks", and just 243 unique visitors. It's all good. Maybe people did not liked the page, maybe they don't have time to check it out or register, or maybe simply they just can't care less about another art site invite. Maybe is my rep as NSFW artist they don't want to be related to. I don't know but like I said, it's all good. At least, next time I read someone complaining about the NSFW art flooding the online galleries, I will have my say.
So! as I have never gave up and won't start now, the www.upixl.net
dark twin brother was born. I created www.upxxx.net
which is basically the same as the prior site but as you might guess, yes, it's a NSFW free artwork gallery. I was still uploading the latest pages to my FTP and it already had 7 unique visitors
looks promising, don't you think? Upixl.net will be kept running until paid hosting time runs out unless stats start rising (which I doubt, but one can never know, right?).
